Vector Windows is now hiring a full-time truck driver to deliver windows and doors to our customer base in the upper Midwest. This position is based out of Fergus Falls, MN. You will be able to get to know your customers on a regular delivery route. You will be home most nights of the week, and no weekend deliveries. Clean Driving Record required. As a member of the senior management team, the VP of Supply Chain is responsible for integrating all functions from vendor selection through delivering products to our customers on time. This position requires a strong, interactive leader who is fully competent in supply chain systems – from purchasing, to forecasting, to logistics – and focused on delivering custom built products on a short lead time.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Lead Supply Chain Management strategy and planning, including participation in the development of annual business objectives and strategies. Provide specific leadership and expertise for purchasing/vendor management and supply chain-related objectives.
  • Develop, track, and monitor supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).  
  • Develop and enhance the logistics strategy and help determine optimum use of company drivers and outsourced logistics support to deliver products and inbound raw materials.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with employees, across all functions and levels in the organization, as well as customers and suppliers.
  • Enhance inventory control and focus on lean manufacturing techniques to increase inventory turns and improve delivery performance.

  • Assist and drive new product development, from design to manufacturability.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 10 years of supply chain leadership experience in a discrete manufacturing environment.
  • Strong purchasing, inventory control, and logistics background
  • Broad understanding of customer relations, product specifications, and the unique and competitive market conditions of engineered products with short cycle times
  • An undergraduate degree, ideally in Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering, is required; advanced degree desired.

      Summary

      Performs manual labor along a production line. Operates and troubleshoots production line machinery and computers. May perform minor repairs as necessary.

       

      Primary Responsibilities 

      1. Operate production line machinery and computers.
      2. Troubleshoot production line machinery.
      3. Perform equipment change-overs.
      4. Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.
      5. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
      6. Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on production line machinery.
      7. Clean and maintain work area.
      8. Other duties as assigned.
