2nd Shift Vinyl Fabrication Team Lead

Primary Objective of Position:

The Production Lead is responsible by working with the Shop Managers to improve safety, quality, and operational costs. The specific responsibilities on a daily basis would be to drive Daily metrics for delivery (Schedule) , Efficiency (Daily productivity, Quality, reworks and recuts). This person needs to be a strong communicator who will work directly with the shop floor identifying the cause of problems using problem solving methodologies(RCCA/LEAN).  The Lead must build strong relationships with the floor and have strong listening skills be self-motivated, willing to work in a fast-paced environment, willing to lead and drive change.

    1st Shift Shift Shipping Team Lead

    Primary Objective of Position:

    The shipping lead is responsible for the loading of company trucks, verifying shipments for accuracy and on time delivery. This position provides direction of work ensuring loading accuracy, employee safety, quality and productivity are performed according to established processes.

    Responsible for daily job assignments, training and communication of goals and holds employees accountable to performance and quality expectations, coaches and communicates expectations and successes.

    Ensures trucks have 100% load accuracy and shipments are ready for drivers on schedule and must makes sure standard loading of trucks occurs eliminating any shipping damage to customers.

    Communicates and proactively works with production teams to ensure completion of scheduled production and minimizes back orders.

    Must have valid drivers license, also, must be able to provide training of current and new employees in all appropriate processes and procedures.

      Production Planner / Scheduler

      Full-Time, Exempt, M-F, Reports to VP Supply Chain

      Primary Objective of Position:

      This position has the responsibility of coordinating supplies, resources, and special purchase items to effectively schedule production lines to the most productive schedule possible. This person needs to be a strong communicator, very analytic, and can manage multiple avenues of supply into just-in-time production planning. This person will work with all areas of the company, purchasing, receiving, operations, accounting, quality, sales, and the executive team. This person must be a strong relationship builder, good listener, good decision maker and effective in a fast-paced production environment.

      Major Areas of Responsibility:

       

      1. Scheduling of production lines to optimize throughput based on hourly resources, supply availability and customer demand.
      2. Manage cost through effective scheduling and optimization of raw materials.
      3. Purchase specialty items as it relates to production needs.
      4. Communicate raw material and production delays prior to commitment dates.
      5. Strategically plan (30/60/90 day) production based on sales forecast, product availability and operations capacity.
      6. Other tasks or responsibilities that may directed within the supply chain.
      7. Working within and demonstrating Vector’s core values at all times.

        Value Add/Patio Door Lead

          • High Demand Hours:
            1. 1st Shift: 5:30 AM - 4 PM M-F, No weekends
            2. $18 per hour  
            • 1st Shift Shipping: 7 AM - 4 PM M-F, No Weekends

             

            • 2nd Shift: 4 PM – 3:30 AM M-Th, No Friday or Weekends
              • $19 per hour 

            Summary

            Performs manual labor along a production line. Operates and troubleshoots production line machinery and computers. May perform minor repairs as necessary.

             

            Primary Responsibilities 

            1. Operate production line machinery and computers.
            2. Troubleshoot production line machinery.
            3. Perform equipment change-overs.
            4. Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.
            5. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
            6. Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on production line machinery.
            7. Clean and maintain work area.
            8. Other duties as assigned.
